The Challenge: Managing Complex Collect Shipments

A USA-based healthcare distributor, specialising in batch-controlled vitamins and healthcare products, faced significant challenges as their Amazon Vendor account grew.

Participating in the Collect (WePay) programme, they managed batch-controlled stock, ASN creation, and UPS shipments, all of which required time-intensive manual processes.

The team struggled with:

  • Batch and Expiry Management: Assigning batch numbers and expiry dates to SKUs for each order.
  • Slow ASN Creation: Manual data entry and waiting for carrier assignments delayed shipments.
  • Disjointed Labelling: UPS and Amazon label generation required logging into Vendor Central, adding to the workload.
  • Inventory Reordering: Stock monitoring and supplier reordering demanded separate tools and extensive manual effort.

These inefficiencies made scaling their operations challenging and limited their ability to expand their product catalogue and supplier network.
