How to grow your business with Amazon? KhooCommerce speaks on panel for The Online Seller Network
We were privileged to take part in the recent Online Seller Network meet-up in London, speaking on a panel with James Wilson from Amazon UK Marketplace and Chris Dawson from Tamebay.
You can read about the Online Seller Network event here.
It was a fantastic event and great to share about how to grow your relationship with Amazon, either as a seller or a vendor.
Katherine, from KhooCommerce, found the following questions particularly interesting:
- What does it mean to be an Amazon Vendor?
A vendor relationship with Amazon is where, as a brand owner or manufacturers, you can become a wholesaler to Amazon. This is an invite-only relationship and you can read more about it in another of our articles.
- I'm an Amazon Vendor, am I able to also be an Amazon Seller?
This can be a bit of a grey area however, it is possible however, it should be carefully considered as part of your wider strategy. This is addressed within a talk from the Manchester Online Seller conference and you can read this here.
- How do I get started on Amazon? Should I go on a course?
The best way to get started is to just start. There are many very worthwhile courses (and Amazon consultants) out there who can help with questions you have. However, the best way to know what you don't know, is to start selling and get a feel for what works and what doesn't work.
- What do I do about moving into international marketplaces with Amazon?
Again, Amazon can be a great way to trail a product and the international marketplaces allow you to do this in a fairly low risk manner. We'd recommend trailing a section of your products and reviewing the results, to see whether this will be profitable for you.
- When should you consider getting software to help with you Amazon sales?
Whether you're selling online through a single channel, only a website, or multiple channels, integrated software is the only way in which you are going to be able to scale your activities.
